"Neon Moon"

"When the sun goes down On my side of townThat lonesome feeling Comes to my door The whole world turns blue There's a rundown bar 'Cross the railroad tracks I've got a table for two Way in the back Where i sit alone And think of losing you I spend most every night Beneath the light Of this neon moon..."

soooooooo time for a much needed update.

First thing is first......my dog VIKTORYA ST. JAMES has finally arrived. She is a toy-chihuahua. She is a month and a half. She honestly thinks she owns this place, running up and down the apartment, even my classroom. All my students loved her. They want me to take her back to school on Friday, we'll see. But here she is on my desk....playing secretary. lol.

But anywho....life has been a bit crazy. I've been extremely busy, don't know why but just seem to be doing a lot of school work and working on all my extracurricular sponsorships. First off, my CX Debate team are now District 25 4-AAAA CX Debate Champtions. Isn't that exciting. I absolutely am thrilled, we are ordering Jackets soon. My Spanish Club is finalizing all details for the Valentine's Dance, and my Senior Class has finalized 3 themes for Prom. We will make the final theme selection next week. So yes....I've been quite the busy bee.

This new year has been good thus far. Kinda weird, but I blame it on the weather. It's been cold then hot, then cold and windy, and now rainy! ugh!! All this has my allergies all f'ed up! I hate having watery eyes, stuffed nose, etc.

The diet is working out amazingly. I have hit the gym quite a few times, not as much as I would want to but enough to start getting my body use to it. for these next two weeks I am back on the Phase One of the South Beach Diet, no CARBS!! So by Valentines Day...I should be closer to my goal. I hope to at least minus my weight by 10lbs.

Anywho....NEON MOON is very fitting of my life right now. I am going through my pre-birthday emotions....signature! I at times feel as if some friends are just way too far, further than a phone call, and my nearby friends seem as if they are hundreds of miles away. Soooooo to my dear friends, much love from me to you all, and I hope life finds you all well and happy.

ps
my real-journal has actually kept me busy and making me lazy about transferring my journal entries onto my blogspot. but anywho....this pretty much sums up most of my entries.

The Dance

"Looking back on the memory of The dance we shared 'neath the stars alone, For a moment all the world was right, How could I have known that you'd ever say goodbye, And now I'm glad I didn't know The way it all would end, the way it all would go, Our lives are better left to chance I could have missed the pain But I'd of had to miss the dance..."

Another year behind me, and now a new year ahead of me. Wow, so much, so fast, and yet seems so distant! This past year went by incredibly fast, don't you think? In my lifetime I've missed too many 'dances' simply because of my insecurities, especially physically. This year I've resolved to change all of that. I ended the year on a good upswing...losing weight! I will no longer be the chubby one, the fat one, THAT ONE! I'm going to be me, Hector. I've learned that I want to lose weight not for others, but for me! Fortunately several of my friends are also dieting, losing weight so it's a plus in the support system. It's been about 3 months since my official diet began and I am down almost 30lbs. Here is picture from New Years....Still not too obvious but okay for me. I saw a tv-marathon special of the BIGGEST LOSER and OMG, it was insane how the world changes once you've lost the weight! Anywho enough of the weight nonsense...well see where I am at in MARCH when I turn 25!! Cross your fingers and hopefully im down 30 more pounds!
So First semester of my second year teaching went by well. I feel so confident in my students...I have honestly pushed them really hard and my kiddos can definately kick butt! They are lil' Francophils! But I had a great semester! Chirstmas with the family was fun! I went home for a few days and it was relaxing and very familiar. I got to go to Houston go visit JOVANNA...we hadn't seen each other since July. She's doing great, and looks amazing. Her mother cooked us amzing arabic food and gave me her famous butter cookies! {yes I'm allowed to eat a few snacks every now and then, lol.} We went shopping at the Galleria and it was fun. Went Vintage clothe shopping but had no luck. She bought me a book about PARIS, to add to my collection! I bought her a new Lap Top Purse, Lip Venom, and Armani Sun Glasses! This is the new and improvING, Jovanna.... She herself has lost about 35lbs. So we are on our wayyyyyyyyyyy! Lastly I went to Dallas to ring in the NEW YEAR. I went with Richie to meet up with Mr. Isaac Rios. We had so so so so so much fun! Naturally! We hit up the Mall, again! I exchanged some holiday gifts and they gave me cash and store credit for them, so I bought new Diesel shoes and other signature-Hector-items! And spent the cash on New Year festivities. Isaac bought me a really nice Harry Potter Jacket! He also bought my soon to be puppy, Victoria St. James, clothes! {Yes my parents bought me a Toy Chihuahua, that will be delivered on in mid-January.} But we all had so much fun. Cristina and Raquel drove in New Years eve and met us at the hotel we got last minute. Our friend Edith also joined us! We were all a mess getting ready in the hotel room...it reminded me of my collegiate days when we went to conventions or games, all cramming into one room! ha ha. but it was all fun. We rang in the new year to SINCE YOU BEEN GONE by Kelly Clarkson. It was insane! Met up with some locals and had fun afterwards at the ACROOS THE STREET BAR and signature whataburger! FUN FUN FUN! Here is the gang from new years!!!! Here we have Cristina, Isaac, Edith, Raquel, and myself. anywho....just a quick update.

So its back to work and to normalcy! Cheers and Happy New Year. Best of luck and wishes to you all in 2006!

I hope you dance!!!

Hector~
